AICT Flood Emergency Response - Punjab Underwater

⚠️ Flood Situation Overview

  • In late August 2025, exceptionally heavy monsoon rains and dam releases caused catastrophic flooding across Punjab.
  • All 23 districts of the state have been declared flood-hit.
  • At least 30+ people have died, and over 3-3.5 lakh (300,000+) residents have been directly affected.
  • More than 1,400 villages were inundated, and over 4 lakh acres of crops submerged - destroying homes, livelihoods, and food supplies.
  • This is the worst flooding Punjab has seen since 1988.
